Windows, Steam and CS2

Demo Trace is a native Windows x64 application. Replay uses your locally installed CS2 engine; keep Steam available under the same Windows account.

A GPU capable of running CS2 and Windows Graphics Capture is required. Exact hardware and Windows-version support should be taken from the published release notes.

Compatible local recordings

Supported input extensions include .dem, .dem.gz and .dem.zst. A successful parse does not guarantee that your installed CS2 build can play the recording.

Recorded voice is available only where a supported format is present. Demo Trace does not generate missing voice.
